Turtles are reptiles of the order Chelonii or Testudines and are characterised bya special bony shell which is developed from their ribs and acts as a shield against predators.Turtles date  back around 220 million years making it one of the oldest reptilegroups, older than lizards,   snakes or crocodiles.There are 327 known species of turtle alive today and many of them are endangered species. Through our research we have concluded that the Turtles at North Pond, South Pond and the Lily pool like spots to bask with minimal human prescence. The geese and ducks however stayed closer to the trail, and sometimes were fed, which led to them getting used to this.

  1. What changes can be made to improve conditions of North Pond and Consistency of Turtle and Geese activity ?

  2. Are dietary needs of native species maintained to a healthy degree?

  3. What other variables were there that we didn’t record but affected our results?
